It is with great sadness that I am going to report the coming end of an era. As we all know, it became evident that The Sims 3 would be ending and a new Sims 4 would be released, back in August 2013 during Gamescom. Recently a SimGuru tweeted confirmation that a ‘FINAL patch is in the works before wrapping up TS3’. No other information was given as to when this patch will be released or what it will fix. Twallan has retired
On January 5, 2014, Twallan of Nraas, had issued a statement in “State of the Mod” that he was retiring. Turning all his mods over to other modders to carry on. As you all know, I use his MasterController, Integration and few others. This news saddens me to see such a talented simmer leave but at the same time I completely understand why he made such a decision. I wish him the best in the future and maybe we will be lucky to see him come back, if not to do any modding, as he had stated before he would not be modding for The Sims 4, but to stop in and say “hey!”
With this in mind and the news of another patch coming, I would suggest that if you do use mods, and you haven’t done this already, turn off auto updates via the launcher. This way until we know if someone else is going to pick up where Twallan left off, and update the mods that previous patches have made incompatible, you can still play your game without having to remove your mods.
Until next time my fellow simmers…Peace out, Be safe and Take care.
